The Hohentwiel Festival was launched in 1969 and is one of the oldest open-air festivals in southern Germany. Over the years, a town festival for the citizens of Singen has turned into a small but fine jazz festival, to which international stars such as Miles Davis and Dizzie Gillespie also travel. In the meantime, the Hohentwiel Festival has blossomed into one of the major music events in the region. Greats like BB King, Joe Cocker, Chris de Burgh, Patricia Kaas, Nena and Silbermond are not uncommon here. In addition to the concerts, the castle festival also attracts numerous visitors from Germany and Switzerland to Singen every year. The festival lives not only from the music, but also from the unique atmosphere at the Charles Bastion. At a height of 688 meters, visitors can enjoy a wonderful view of the hilly landscape of the Hegau, of Lake Constance and the Alpine panorama of neighboring countries when the weather is nice. The Hohentwiel Festival is organized and carried out by the town of Singen in cooperation with Kokon Entertainment .
