Beale Street Music Festival is music festival that takes place in Memphis, TN every year in early May. The festival was first held in May of 1977 and has taken place every year since then. The festival actually has roots all the way back to the 1800s, so the festival is full of tradition. The festival features an eclectic group of musicians every year for a three day music extravaganza. Beale Street Music Festival is part of a larger network of festivals known as Memphis in May, which is a general celebration of the city and the arts.
