Established in 1888, the Western Illinois Fair is one of the oldest county fairs in the state of Illinois, located in the heart of Pike County, Illinois, in Griggsville. Normally held each third week in June, the Western Illinois Fair hosts grandstand events such as queen pageant and princess contests, demolition derbies, truck and tractor pulls, and the annual School Bus Demolition Derby, one of the most unique county fair events in the region. Arts and crafts exhibits are open to residents from Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Morgan, Pike and Scott counties.
