Kings of A&R developed a following after featuring artists early on in their career like household names including Lady Gaga when she showcased in NY at The Bitter End. The site may have been the first to post the mega hit Apologize by One Republic that brought them major label attention and also tipped off the industry to The Killers showcase at SXSW which led to their signing to Island Records. The music blog put the spotlight on the unknown Katy Perry when she was transitioning between labels and tipped off the community with emo act RJS who scored the mega top 40 hit with their track Face Down. Other artists we highlighted before coming household names include Gotye, Capital Cities, The Neighborhood, and Twenty One Pilots. Today, our blog features have helped artists land on editorial Playlists as well as spots on Music Festivals."
