"The Digital Outhouse consists of a wonderful consortium of individuals who have come together to write about general nonsense, usually regarding different types of music, and encourage an overall lack of uniformity from the rest of the world. Speaking of uniformity, if you want that, you should probably head over to pitchfork or something. We actually wouldn’t recommend any other music blogs because most others draw their wisdom from the gods of the aforementioned site anyway. Is this bad? No, in fact, we’re just looking out for you. We don’t want you to waste time scouring the intrawebz for news that can be found on one, admittedly sufficient, media outlet already. What’s that? Everyone has their own opinion? Yes, you’re right and 95% of the time that opinion is pitchfork’s. Also, this isn’t the place for new music. Though it will make it’s way on here from time to time (let’s be honest, we get excited about that kind of stuff too). Most of the content is selected on a whim, and that makes it well, whimsical. It’s a hell of a lot more personal too (that’s why blogs were created, no?). While we’re at it, this blog also isn’t about: featuring painfully obscure bands, music news, Lady GaGa, hype, hipsters, and/or cats. This would also be the best place to warn that what is said here will be contradicted at one point or another. We’re only human. In the end, The Digital Outhouse is here to provide musical content that has some sort of significance, but more importantly, we’re here to entertain.
