Today, singer/songwriter, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and all-around keyboard master Cory Henry has announced a special Halloween livestream performance in celebration of his new album ‘Something To Say,’ out October 30 via Culture Collective.

Recorded at the iconic Apogee Studios, the Halloween performance marks the first show featuring Cory Henry and The Funk Apostles since February when the pandemic forced them off the road. The concert was mixed by legendary sound engineer Bob Clearmountain, whose previous work includes David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Chic, Kool andamp; the Gang and many more. Tickets and virtual meet and greet passes for the Halloween livestream are available at www.coryhenry.com and will be broadcast globally at 3 p.m. PST / 6 p.m. EST / 11 p.m. BST / 7 a.m. JST / 9 a.m. ACT to accommodate Henry’s international fans. Tickets go on-sale at 12 p.m. PST today with prices set at $10 for a webcast ticket or $50 for a webcast ticket plus a one-on-one virtual meet and greet with Henry.

Henry also releases his new song “Don’t Forget” today, an electrifying introduction to his highly-anticipated 11-track collection release, which tackles the subjects of love, breakups, social consciousness, injustices and emotional drainage. “Time means nothing without change, so don’t waste it. Hate is fear that is not tamed so we keep trying, we keep trying everyday”, says Henry in the song. However, through his signature “future soul” sound and elastic beats, Henry overarchingly instills hope for the future on “Don’t Forget,” reminding listeners “Please don’t forget what you’re living for and please don’t forget what you’re fighting for.”

‘Something To Say’ has already been making headlines with standout singles “Rise” and “Happy Days.” On “Rise,” which was named a Top Tune by KCRW Henry delivers a powerful and unifying song written to inspire people in every country to come together and rise to make a better world. On “Happy Days,” the bouncy debut single from the album, Henry beckons the listener “if you want my love just say,” promising brighter days ahead. This follows Henry’s 2018 debut with the Funk Apostles: Adam Agati, Guitar; TaRon Lockett, Percussion; Nick Semrad, Keyboard; Sharay Reed, Bass. The album, ‘Art Of Love,’ was praised by the New York Times and Billboard, and it brought the band to an incredible NPR Tiny Desk Concert.

Above all, with ‘Something To Say,’ Cory Henry made music to fulfill him, and he’s hoping to spread that message to the world. “I feel good because all of the songs came together and they mean something to me,” he humbly advises, “so I hope they mean something to other people.”
