“Emily King is one of those artists that you need to listen to; in fact, you deserve to. Everyone deserves to hear her clear, but gritty tone, feel the grooves that surprise you in every track and the overwhelming feeling of a singer/songwriter being so deep in her bag that her music has become an experience.” - BET

“In all the complexities and nuances heard throughout the sonic journey that is Special Occasion lies King's most honest work to date.” Grammy.com

“…Emily King is like Poppin’…Holy Sh*t, I am so happy for this woman!” - Joe Budden

Fresh off a 2024 Best RandB Album Grammy nomination for her spellbinding project Special Occasion, Emily King, who has also been nominated for three other RandB genre Grammys in previous years, announces a series of live performances, poised to captivate audiences nationwide. Next year, she is set to embark on a spring tour alongside Jacob Collier on his DJESSE VOL. 4 North America Tour. But before gracing larger venues, fans have the opportunity to catch her in more intimate ‘underplay’ settings this December. King's upcoming solo tour will be the first time she has ever solely showcased a stripped-down, acoustic rendition of tracks from her catalog including, Special OccasionScenery and others from her extensive back catalog. Audiences can expect a journey through King's soulful discography, highlighted by the hits that have solidified her as one of RandB's most respected artists.

King’s album Special Occasion, which features collaborations with Lukas Nelson and Nick Hakim, is unlike any she’s previously made. Throughout the record, King shares a real-time exploration of the endless dimensions of heartbreak—an inquiry informed by her end of a romantic relationship. King and longtime producer Jeremy Most (Grammy-nominated producer and multi-instrumentalist) closely collaborated on every track for an affectionate and infinitely enchanting look at the ways we love, grieve, and eventually stumble toward a greater sense of self-understanding. It debuted in May to massive acclaim, including praises from NPR, OkayPlayer, KCRW, Stereogum, and more. King discussed the album and her inspirations on Sam Sanders’ Vibe Check PodcastNPR’s It’s Been A Minute as well as on CBS Mornings with Anthony Mason

With a history of touring with legends like Chaka Khan, Nas, John Legend, Alicia Keys, and Erykah Badu, King’s live show continues to be a “spiritual experience” (BET). Fans will get to experience the magic front and center, as King performs at eight East Coast venues this winter, from Woodstock, NY, to Annapolis, MD, and Burlington, VT.

Heading into summer, King will join Jacob Collier’s DJESSE VOL. 4 North America Tour. The tour will take her across the country, performing at venues in Denver, Kansas City, Nashville, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis and more.
