On July 9, iHeartMedia named Skylar Blatt as its newest ‘On The Verge’ Hip Hop artist with the song "Wake Up" feat. Chris Brown. iHeartMedia’s ‘On The Verge’ program helps build awareness for up-and-coming artists through its radio airplay reach and historically, all ‘On The Verge’ artists have charted in the top 30, with more than half landing in the top 10 and over a third claiming the No. 1 chart slot. Success stories of ‘On The Verge’ Hip Hop artists who have reached the top 20 include Lil Tjay ft. 6LACK, Shenseea, Kendra Jae and Coi Leray.
Also this month, iHeartMedia World Premiered new singles from several artists, including Chencho Corleone’s “Lo caro y lo bueno” on July 19 across all iHeartRadio Spanish Contemporary andamp; Tropical stations, Katy Perry’s "Woman's World" on July 11 across all iHeartRadio CHR and Hot AC stations and Seether’s “Judas Mind” on July 10 across all iHeartRadio Active Rock stations.
Additionally, iHeartCountry stations hosted a special “Twister” soundtrack takeover on July 19, playing one song from the soundtrack every hour from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time, and on July 12, iHeartCountry stations featured Russell Dickerson’s "Bones" in “New Music Spotlight” slots.
