Nashville Harbor Records and Entertainment today announces the signing of rising singer/songwriter Shaylen. The powerhouse vocalist joins an impressive roster of artists which includes Riley Green, Chris Janson, Brett Young, Lady A, Greylan James and Noah Hicks.
Big Machine Label Group’s Chairman and CEO Scott Borchetta comments, “Shaylen has all the right stuff… great voice, great songs, quite a bit of life experience to draw on, amazing confidence and incredible determination. She’s ready NOW.”
The Chattanooga-born, Dallas-raised artist is no stranger to Country music. Growing up with the voices of icons from Elvis Presley to Ella Fitzgerald and Willie Nelson to Janis Joplin floating through her home, Shaylen’s southern roots with Country and Gospel influences are the core of who she is as an artist. After spending a decade in Los Angeles making Pop music and garnering a strong fanbase, Shaylen found it was her time to come home. Tennessee and its music are home to her, and now that she’s back, Shaylen has established herself as the kind of artist with something to say and who is special enough to stand out.
“Shaylen is writing and recording some of the most powerful songs that speak to a generation that I’ve heard in a long time,” adds Nashville Harbor Records andamp; Entertainment’s President Jimmy Harnen. “From Stagecoach to CMA Fest, she wows everyone from backstage interviews to her onstage performances!”
Since Shaylen took a leap of faith into Country music in 2022, she has experienced a meteoric rise, swiftly ascending to become one of the most prominent emerging female artists in the genre. Since her debut single — “What If I Don’t,” a viral hit garnering 28+ million streams just on Spotify alone — she has been carving an inimitable mark on Nashville. Shaylen has seen continued success with subsequent releases “Roots,” “Cowboys Never Cry,” “Do It Right The First Time,” “Closest Thing to Closure,” “Been There Before” and latest track “Let Me Let You.”
“Signing with Nashville Harbor Records andamp; Entertainment feels like a dream,” shares Shaylen. “I’ve looked up to Scott Borchetta, Jimmy Harnen and Julian Raymond for years and it feels surreal to be joining a roster alongside some of my favorite artists. It’s not every day you get the best of the best in this industry to hear your music and truly believe in it enough to build something bigger with you. I’m forever honored and grateful.”
Shaylen is managed by Two Hats Music Group in Nashville.
