On Tuesday, Warner Records artist Warren Zeiders celebrated his first No. 1 single with “Pretty Little Poison.” Written by Zeiders (BMI), Ryan Beaver (BMI) and Jared Keim (SESAC), the hit – which marked all three of their first No. 1s – reached the No. 1 status on both Country Aircheck’s Mediabase Country Chart and Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart the week of Feb. 26th.
Hosted by BMI and SESAC, the party – which was held at Halls Chophouse in Nashville, TN, sponsored by Studio Bank and featured cocktails by Wild Turkey – included remarks from the three writers and producer Ross Copperman. The celebration was emceed by BMI’s MaryAnn Keen and also featured remarks from SESAC’s Lydia Cahill, SMACKSONGS’ Lee Krabel, Twelve6’s Travis Myatt, Warner Chappell’s Bethany Mako, Studio Bank’s Kari Barnhart, Country Aircheck’s Chuck Aly, Warner Music Nashville’s Bethany Mako, Warner Music Nashville’s Kristen Williams and Warner Records’ Co-Chairman and CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck.
Sponsored by Studio Bank, Kari Barnhart made a special donation presentation on behalf of Zeiders and the songwriters in support of The Bridge House, an organization that leads youth out of homelessness and empowers them to live a life that will change a life. Additionally, in honor of their first No. 1, BMI presented Zeiders and Beaver with a custom Taylor 210-dlx guitar. In celebration of Jared Keim, SESAC presented him with a custom-wrapped Gibson guitar to honor the milestone.
The title track of Zeiders’ acclaimed debut album, “Pretty Little Poison” has earned 380M global streams, received RIAA Double Platinum status, peaked at the Top 25 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and earned Zeiders the CMT Award for “Breakthrough Male Video of the Year.”
Zeiders recently shared his latest single “Relapse” and is currently on his nearly sold-out 2024 North American headlining tour. Kicking off in August, he will join Jelly Roll as direct support for his Fall The Beautifully Broken Tour and then will set off on his first European headlining tour in 2025.
