Today, Singer songwriter and actor Ben Barnes releases his brand new single ‘Nevermind’. Showcasing a darker and more vulnerable sound, the track navigates anxiety and instances of being lost in deep thought. Listen to ‘Nevermind’ here. Watch the video here.

Ben speaks on the single, “‘Nevermind’ is a song about anxiety and the various ways to try to soothe that shaking feeling in your stomach that can’t be ignored. When all you can do is focus on breathing and the ground under you. It’s about the stories we tell ourselves, the beginnings we re-write, the endings we rose-tint and the fantasies we project before coming back to the truth, back to the ground you’re lying on.”

‘Nevermind’ follows previous single Beloved, an uplifting soul-pop anthem about allowing yourself to be loved for all that you are. Both tracks feature on Ben Barnes’s debut album ‘Where The Light Gets In’ released 10th January 2025 via Kartel Music Group. These songs showcase all Ben’s innate hopefulness and a perspective earned through lived experience. His personal hope for the record is that it encourages “clarity when life feels sombre, empowers you in the face of pain or vulnerability, and makes you feel lovable when the world tries to tell you that you’re not enough”. Pre-order ‘Where The Light Gets In’ here.

Best known for his acting roles in WestworldThe Punisher and The Chronicles of Narnia, Ben in October 2021, realised his 20-year dream of releasing music, in the format of a 5 song EP, Songs for You. Since then, Ben has taken to the stage at some historic venues such as the Troubadour in LA, NYC’s Bowery Ballroom and for his live debut Ben performed at the Hotel Café, LA, venues which have previously welcomed artists such as HozierAdeleBillie EilishDonny HathawayElton John, and more.

Following a US tour in January 2025, Ben Barnes will be bringing his music to the UK and Europe in February, where he’ll perform tracks from Where The Light Gets In alongside his catalogue and some fun extras. Tickets are on sale here.
