JOB TITLE: SR. FINANCIAL ANALYST (ADA)

YOUR ROLE
The Senior Analyst, Finance will work across internal ADA teams and WMG divisions to ensure the success of ADA and its distributed partners. You will gain experience working on strategic financial objectives targeting future growth with exposure to both major and independent labels globally.
Here you’ll get to:
- Interact with and support our independent artist and labels through the distribution statement process, addressing partner questions and providing general financial support
- Execute recurring AandR processes, including preparation of cash spend tracking schedules, current recoupment status summaries, quarterly recoupment analyses, and all other AandR templates
- Assist the Sr. Director, Finance with month-end close related activities such as journal entry review, financial analysis, preparation of month-end actual and forecast PandLs, AandR schedules, overhead summaries, and other month-end deliverables
- Perform actual vs forecast variance analysis andamp; assist the Finance team with researching ADA international submissions directly with WMG global affiliate andamp; local ADA Finance teams
- Partner with the ADA physical sales team to ensure reporting accuracy of any 3rd party sales
- Support the internal distribution statement review process by coordinating with our Center of Excellence team, tracking timelines and deliverable status, providing status updates to the ADA Finance team, and regularly assessing high priority statements
- Coordinate with global WMG affiliates alongside Center of Excellence teams for all intercompany related activities, including processing andamp; approval of intercompany transfers, payable andamp; receivable reconciliations, intercompany invoicing, etc.
- Prepare recurring reporting templates and schedules to Warner Music Group Corporate Finance, including AandR cash forecasts, variance analyses, forecast andamp; actual summaries, etc.
- Continuously analyze, develop, and implement process improvements for individual and team functions, as required
- Participate in special projects, as required
ABOUT YOU
- You have a degree in accounting or finance with 2-3+ years of relevant experience
- You are a creative problem solver and enjoy working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
- You possess strong analytical and time management skills with the ability to think critically while juggling competing priorities.
- You are a self-starter who can identify and recommend process improvements.
- You are highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and are a quick learner of new IT systems.
We’d love it if you also had:
- Music or entertainment industry experience.
- Deep familiarity with data analysis and understanding of music streaming reporting tools.
- A love of music and a desire to work in a highly creative environment.
