Intro
AIMS is a music tech scale-up that’s already revolutionized AI music search for some of the world’s biggest music and media companies, including Warner Chappell PM, Universal PM, Big Machine and many more. We’re entirely bootstrapped and profitable, operating as a fully remote team of music and tech lovers based all over the world.
You will be our first dedicated Customer Success Manager, coming in at a time when we’re building and closing partnerships on all fronts — and it’ll be your responsibility to nurture and grow our international client portfolio. It’s on you to make sure everyone on our clients’ teams is getting the most out of AIMS’ best-in-market search technology.
Guiding customers and leading conversation takes knowledge, so you need to have production music experience. If you understand the impact of a great music search, we’d love to meet.
Must-haves for this role
Our close customer relationships are one of our biggest strengths. AIMS tech is loved and trusted by those who use it, so they’re open to suggestions on how to use its full potential. They look to us to bring ideas they wouldn’t consider themselves, mainly because it’s new territory for them — which is why it has to be very familiar territory for you.
Production music experience: Many of our existing clients come from production music, a very specific field that can only be understood if you’ve been in it for 5+ years. You need to know the problems AIMS solves, with a passion for helping industry professionals succeed with their tasks.
Tech understanding: You have to understand tech enough to see how it benefits our clients’ unique workflows. How can AIMS products impact a music company? What are the less-obvious use cases of high-quality search? You don’t need to be an AI expert or developer, but an above-average grasp of tech is a must.
What we expect of you
- Have regular customer meetings — and build a process for gathering feedback
- Own and optimize the customer journey — from onboarding and training to expansion and renewals, ensuring clients are always getting the best AIMS experience
- Proactivity in everything you do — identifying opportunities for growing a partnership, suggesting product and service improvements, tracking trends and market activities
- Ability to work independently — with a remote global team but occasional on-site HQ visits
- Confident communication — with users, decision makers and business owners
- Traveling for events and networking — you’re the face of AIMS externally and the voice of clients internally
Preferred experience:
- Several years of client relations experience in production music; general sync and B2B SaaS experience is a plus
- Proficiency in CRM management (ideally HubSpot) and data tools, including Excel
- Commercial acumen and an analytical, data-driven approach proven to bring results — with the level of attention to detail that only comes from experience
