Overview
AIMS is a music-tech scale-up providing best-in-market AI technology for music search andamp; discovery. We work with the world’s leading music and media companies, including Warner Chappell PM, Universal PM, Hipgnosis, Big Machine Label Group and many more.
We’re entirely self-funded and profitable, operating as a fully remote team of music and tech lovers based all over the world.
As our Sales Lead, you’d be responsible for team management and sales operations while driving new business and existing client growth. You should be a strong leader who can manage a team and handle your own deals in tandem, ready to hit the ground running.
It’s a very exciting time at AIMS; we’ve experienced quick growth since launching in 2019, and our respected position within the music industry is opening a lot of doors — making the Sales Lead role crucial to seizing the opportunities ahead.
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
- Lead an experienced global business development team to achieve commercial targets and business goals
- Support team on lead generation, new business deal structuring, negotiations and deal closing; and lead from the front with your own pipeline
- Manage your own client accounts, drive growth through upsells and ensure strong client retention
- Run a data-led department; optimize sales operations and improve process efficiencies, assess and present performance metrics internally and externally
- Be proactive in everything you do; on top of trends and market activities, identifying growth opportunities and internal product andamp; service improvements
- Comfortable handling multiple projects and stakeholders in tandem, both internally and externally
- Can demonstrate a strong understanding of the music industry and AIMS’ key client base
- Global presence at relevant events, meetings and networking opportunities; you’re a senior face of AIMS externally
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of business development and team management experience, preferably in the music sync space, B2B SaaS experience is a plus
- Strong commercial acumen and management skills, personable and communicative leader, confident optimizing team performance whilst maintaining strong remote team culture
- Analytical and data-driven, strong attention to detail, with budgeting and forecasting experience
- Highly proficient in CRM management (ideally HubSpot) and data tools including Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (native-level English is a must)
