Amigo the Devil has released the new lyric video for his haunting and introspective song “Virtue and Vitriol.” The clip is a slow-moving close up that pans across the ashes and warped metal that remains following a fire that engulfed and completely burned out a car. That vehicle happened to be a vintage car collector’s dream – a custom wrap 1979 Ford Econoline Budweiser van, one of only a handful left in existence today – purchased by Amigo the Devil’s Danny Kiranos in 2023. After owning it just a few days, a faulty electric wire lit the fuse that would burn his beloved vehicle from the inside out on the streets of Nashville. Watch “Virtue and Vitriol” HERE.

“Virtue and Vitriol” appears on Amigo the Devil’s critically acclaimed new album Yours Until the War is Over, released on February 23rd via Liars Club Records / Regime Music Group. The album showcases the scope of Kiranos’ artistry as a songwriter, musician, vocalist, storyteller and producer. From literary-influenced lyrics to heartbreaking tales of love, longing and sorrow to clever, sardonic wit, Yours Until the War is Over firmly implants Amigo the Devil as an exceptional voice in the current field of ascending songwriters and performers.

“…an album that is more Tom Waits than John Prine.” – No Depression

“…occupies a fractured cinematic space all its own – one that veers artfully between
pathos and empathy.”
 Magnet

“Amigo the Devil is showcasing his brilliance in more ways than one on ‘Yours Until
the War is Over.’”
 Chorus.fm

“It’s absolutely glorious… Kiranos is quite simply the best at what he does – even if what he does defies categorization.” 10/10  Maximum Volume Music

“‘Yours Until the War is Over’ features hypnotic storytelling lined with vivid imagery that stumbles drunk out of Amigo’s mouth to deliver an almost psychedelic brand of folk.”  Glide Magazine
