Today, Austin Williams continues his rise in country music with the release of ‘Broken Things Break Things,’ six songs that show off his genre-blending abilities. In the past year, Williams’ “natural talent” (GRAMMY.com) has earned him touring slots opening for Tyler Hubbard, Warren Zeiders and Larry Fleet, nearly 100 million cumulative streams and more.

“‘Broken Things Break Things’ is a warning that's very personal to me,” says Williams. Self growth and healing are so important. Being broken and accepting someone into your life leads to breaking them. Hurting somebody or messing up doesn’t define you as a person. We are all learning and growing as people, and moving on to the next chapter of our life.”
On ‘Broken Things Break Things,’ Williams tackles themes from late night attraction (“Nothing Left But Leavin’”) to damaged relationships (“Quitter,” “Can’t Right Now”), depression (“Broken Things Break Things”), staunch hometown pride (“Country Just Like Me”) and more, while tastefully blending modern country with hip-hop and rock influences. The result is a collection of songs that is uniquely Williams and cements his status as one-to-watch in the genre.
Williams’ powerful vocal abilities are on full display across the EP’s six tracks, which include songs written by Chris Stapleton, Kendell Marvel, Chris LaCorte (Morgan Wallen, Sam Hunt), Josh Kerr (Kenny Chesney, Jordan Davis) and more.
Williams recently sat down with PEOPLE to discuss the EP. Read here: people.com/austin-williams-releases-broken-things-break-things-exclusive-8684296
The country newcomer is set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Weds., Aug. 7th, and he’s gearing up to head out on the ‘Broken Things Break Things Tour,’ his first-ever headline run.
