Balming Tiger, the innovative alternative K-pop group, is making waves with their inaugural full-length album, January Never Dies, released today via AWAL.
The 14-track album includes a total of four previously-released singles, including “SEXY NUKIM (feat. RM of BTS)," which topped Billboard's 'World Digital Song Sales' chart, as well as “Trust Yourself,""SOS,” and “Kamehameha.”
The theme of the album is not attributed to typical established systems or the standards imposed by society, but to love each other and move forward, believing in their own inner selves. Balming Tiger articulated their approach, stating, “As this is our first studio album released as a team rather than a compilation concept, we put a lot of effort into reflecting the tendencies of each member while also bringing together the big themes, and capturing the moments when cosmic energy is generated when we are together. It seems like a precious work has been born.”
Coinciding with today’s album release, Balming Tiger released the music video for their single “Moving Forward.” The music video was directed by Japanese director Pennacky, who was the first to win the ‘Music Video of the Year’ category twice at the Korean Hip-Hop Awards, and serves as an abridged teaser of the group's upcoming theatrical release “Moving For Word: The Movie.” The short film starring Balming Tiger members will be released nationally across Korean theaters later this year.

Following the album release, Balming Tiger is set to debut two more music videos, including one directed by the talented Leesuho, a member of the crew. The album's captivating artwork was crafted by the Milan-based illustrator GOODNEWSFORBADGUYS, with JNKYRD supervising the sound production, Norman Nitzsche as the mastering engineer, and the DooRooDooRoo Artist Company as the management partner.
Fans eager to own the physical album can begin pre-ordering along with the digital release. Various album merchandise, in addition to the CD, will be available. Furthermore, Balming Tiger enthusiasts can look forward to the January Never Dies World Tour, spanning Europe, North America, South America, and Asia, scheduled to kick off in early November and run for approximately a month. The tour includes stops at Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival and a sold-out performance at Pitchfork Music Festival London.
