Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Billy Strings will share a special encore broadcast of his Red Rocks Amphitheatre livestream concert next Saturday, November 28 at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT via Nugs. Originally recorded this past September, the special showing will be the final opportunity for fans to watch the landmark headline performance. 
 
Tickets for the event are on-sale now with a variety of purchase options including a special bundle with a MP3 download of the full, three-set performance. A portion of all proceeds will benefit Musically Fed, an organization that works with artists and venues across the country to help in the fight against hunger. For all ticket options, GO HERE.

Next week’s broadcast is just the latest in a series of unique livestream and socially distanced concerts Strings has performed throughout 2020. Additional recent events include “The Streaming Strings Tour,” where he performed livestream shows from several of Nashville’s most beloved venues, as well as his “Meet Me At The Drive-In Tour,” a series of socially distanced, drive-in concerts.

These events continue a breakout year for Strings following the release of his acclaimed new album, Home, out now on Rounder Records. Produced by Glenn Brown (Greensky Bluegrass), the album furthers his reputation as “one of string music’s most dynamic young stars” (Rolling Stone). Across 14 songs written by Strings, Home combines his high velocity, flat-picking guitar technique with intense, confessional songwriting. The album reached #1 on both Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and Bluegrass Albums chart and led Strings to debut at #11 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart. 

Released to critical acclaim, the Associated Press praised, “it is his creative musical storytelling, paired with solid vocals on Home that should seal the deal, pleasing fans of the genre and creating some new ones…the perfect blend of pure talent and pluck,” while The Wall Street Journal declared, “Billy Strings has clearly emerged as a premier guitar flatpicker of this era.” 

Michigan-born and now Nashville-based, Strings arrived on the music scene as one of the most compelling new artists with the release of his 2017 debut LP, Turmoil andamp; Tinfoil. Of the album, American Songwriter declared, “a great roots album…while this latest effort does boast chops and energy in spades, he’s also a talented lyricist, telling honest, often painful tales about addiction, incarceration, racism, and remaining positive in the face of negativity,” while The Bluegrass Situation praised, “playfully stretches the bounds of bluegrass via face-melting guitar phrasing…and socially conscious songs.” 

Since his debut, Strings has been awarded Guitar Player of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the 2019 International Bluegrass Music Awards, selected as one of Rolling Stone’s 2017 “New Country Artists to Know” and performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and PBS’ “Bluegrass Underground.” Often playing over 200 shows per year, he has also become known as an electric live performer, keeping the improvisational tradition of bluegrass alive while incorporating elements of several diverse genres. WXPN’s World Café declares, “a bona fide phenom…with his virtuosic guitar playing front and center, Strings fuses bluegrass to psych rock, country and jam music, without fussing over what bluegrass should be.”
