Today rising country artist Brandon Davis releases 'Jesus and Jesse James' via Big Yellow Dog Music, eight songs that tell a story of a heartbroken troubadour internally grappling his light and dark sides.

"Country music always hit a little different for me growing up," says Davis. "My jukebox heroes were Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, George Jones and Waylon Jennings. I would hear my daddy singing their songs every time he grabbed a guitar, and I wanted to write like them and sing those songs just like daddy did. This EP holds so many ties back to my kind of country music, to the days when a guitar and a story could make you feel like it was all being played just for you. These songs are for people all walking different paths in life and finding their way step by step in their journey. Whether that's love, heartache or somewhere in between."

Davis co-wrote all eight songs on 'Jesus and Jesse James' with help from some of Music City's top songwriters including Clay Mills (Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood), Kelley Lovelace (Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley), Lynn Hutton (Eric Church, Cole Swindell) and others. Sonically, the album blends '90s country influences with contemporary sonics and lush production, with Davis' powerful, grit-laced baritone taking center stage.

On the title track, Davis is "both good guy and gunslinger, both saint and sinner" as he toes the line between good and evil, complete with "echoing vicious strums, haunting steel, and the artist's blistering baritone" (American Songwriter). "Afraid To Fight" contains soulful, twangy slide guitar as Davis tells stories of staying strong in the midst of hardship. He tackles unrequited love ("Fell For You," "Damn Cowgirl"), taking risks in life ("Lightning In A Mason Jar") and more.

Davis has amassed a massive grassroots fanbase of 3M+ followers through impromptu singing challenges on social media, heartfelt lyricism and powerful vocals. He has been called a "sensation" by PEOPLE Magazine and was hand-selected last year by Tim McGraw to open for the McGraw 2022 Tour. After Davis' equipment was stolen from his tour bus this year, McGraw gifted him with a brand new Gibson guitar. Watch Davis' reaction here: instagram.com/reel/CrTsL1IOpoW/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Davis will perform shows across the South, East and Midwest throughout the year. For tour dates, tickets and more information on Davis, visit brandondavismusic.com.
