The eclectic EP includes Kidd G’s most recent single “Beautiful Thing,” a stunning ode to small-town living surrounded by loved ones, and “Silverado in the Sky,” which stands out as a touching exploration of grief and memory. Also in the mix is the feel-good crowd-pleaser “I Don’t Dance,” as well as the new, tongue-in-cheek record “Ex Games.”

On the creation of the project, Dann Huff, who helmed the EP’s production, said, “I absolutely loved working with Gabe. He is musically unique and has a quiet confidence that is infectious. He has a fresh perspective lyrically and can be either aggressive or extremely sensitive on command. I also love how raw his songs are… No pretense!”

“My new EP If We Were A Love Song has definitely been ‘A Lesson Learned’” Kidd G says of his favorite moments throughout the EP. “It’s brought back memories, created new ones, and has helped bring my family closer than ever. From ‘Daylight Savings,’ dancing with my mom for ‘I Don’t Dance’, having my complete band in a video for the first time, to even the ironic and coincidental things surrounding ‘Silverado In The Sky,’ The EP has literally been a ‘Beautiful Thing’ and will always be one of my favorites.”

Other tracks featured include “Daylight Savings,” “Lesson Learned,” and the sentimental “If We Were a Love Song.” “If we were a love song, we’d be a #1,” Kidd G croons on the chorus. “We’d go down in history wouldn’t we baby.” When exploring the EP, it quickly becomes apparent that each and every track stands on its own, bursting with addictive hooks and effortless energy.

The EP caps an onslaught of new music from the 20-year-old, which has captured the imagination of fans everywhere. They were highlighted on the Georgia native’s tour, which was extended into November due to overwhelming demand. More than 30 new dates were added including stops in major markets such as Nashville, Montreal, and Toronto. Kidd G’s ascent to country music stardom has been anything but ordinary. He arrived on the Billboard country charts just a few months after his 17th birthday — which The New York Timescalled “a study in fluidity.” Kidd G has already gained over 1.5 million followers on TikTok and racked up over 598M total global streams across all releases.
