Brothers Osborne have released their brand new single, “Break Mine,” which is from their recently released four-song EP of the same name. John and TJ Osborne co-wrote the song with Pete Good and Shane McAnally.
“Break Mine” almost was forgotten about until one of their collaborators brought it to the duo’s attention again, even though they hadn’t finished writing the song.
“‘Break Mine’ was a song we wrote with Shane McAnally and Pete Good, and we initially didn’t finish the song,” says TJ. “It was about half done, and then months went by and Shane McAnally, or shoot maybe even a year, Shane McAnally texted us and said, ‘Man, I just listened to this work tape, and I think this song is really good. We should finish it.’ So, a couple months went by and we got in the room and finished the song up, and we kind of just felt like immediately there that it was something really special. So, it’s always cool when you have those moments and the song can see the light of day, especially after going through several revisions and almost getting lost at one point. It almost got forgotten about, and then to dive back into it and do the work and get it back out there is just, for me anyways, it’s really an encouraging thing.”
The reigning ACM Duo Of The Year are once again nominated for Duo at this year’s awards show, which will take place May 16th on Amazon Prime.
Brothers Osborne’s “Might As Well Be Us Tour” will be making stops in the Northeast this weekend beginning Thursday (April 18th) in Boston, followed by shows on Friday (April 19th) in Philadelphia and Saturday (April 20th) in Wallingford, Connecticut.
