Today, d4vd joins Atlanta rapper 21 Savage on a new collaborative track “Call Me Revenge” ft. d4vd via Epic Records (stream HERE). The song was featured in the world premiere of the trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, titled “The Lobby” (watch the trailer HERE). The video game will officially debut on November 10 and the single is a highlight off the official soundtrack.
Produced by Ryan Tedder, “Call Me Revenge” boasts an infectious chorus by d4vd with 21 Savage’s instantly recognizable flow to create a collaboration of epic proportions. Much like the prolific video game series it celebrates, “Call Me Revenge” is action-packed and addicting, and enhances the cinematic qualities of the new teaser trailer. As a former youtube gamer and Fortnite aficionado who began making music to work around copyright strikes, the track marks a full circle moment for d4vd.
The Lobby trailer brings the iconic Call Of Duty game lobby to life with appearances from several instantly identifiable musicians and sports stars like 21 Savage, Devin Booker, and Central Cee. Directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Bullet Train, Deadpool 2), “Call Me Revenge” is masterfully infused into the game’s preview.
2023 has been a monumental year for d4vd. This summer he received a Streamy Award Nomination for “Here With Me” in the “Rolling Stone Sound of the Year” category. Earlier this year, he was honored as part of Billboard’s 21 under 21 and Variety’s Young Hollywood Impact Report lists. As part of their ‘Bummer Summer’ campaign, Spotify also installed a d4vd statue in his hometown of Houston’s Buffalo Bayou Park. Last month he continued the momentum with his second-ever EP The Lost Petals. Upon release Billboard raved “he’s showing that those singles were really just the beginning, with both his songwriting and his sonics continuing to develop at a rapid rate.”
After two sold-out headline tours, d4vd is currently on tour with RandB powerhouse SZA on the second leg of her North American S.O.S. tour, which will be followed by a run of headlining tour dates in select Southeast Asian markets including Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul. In between, he finds time to perform at some of this year’s most anticipated music festivals including Corona Capital Festival and Tyler The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw.
