Damiano David has today released his vibrant new single “Born With A Broken Heart”, the second offering, and first single, from his highly anticipated new solo project. Listen HERE. Accompanying the track is the official music video which is out now and available to watch HERE.

Discussing “Born With A Broken Heart” Damiano says, “When I wrote this song I was getting out of a very dark place, I was feeling emotionless and I was afraid that I had lost my ability to feel things, either good or bad. This was happening while I was starting the most meaningful relationship of my life and the fear of not being capable or ready was big. I think the song was a way to make myself make sense of what I was feeling and look at it from a less scary prospective. I’m happy to say that today I don’t feel like this but I think a lot of people can relate with the feeling of not being good enough.”

The latest track is an uplifting, effervescent gem fizzing with energy, deliciously juxtaposed with the poignant and emotionally resonant lyrics. Despite coming from a difficult, personal and often dark period of his life, the song boasts an anthemic quality with synth led melodies and a hook laden chorus that truly announces Damiano as a solo artist for the global stage.

The single is accompanied by the official music video, also out today. The video, directed by Aerin Moreno, is a perfect visual depiction of the single with stunning choreography and theatrical influences throughout. Watch the video HERE

Discussing the video, Damiano says, “The video is my personal fantasy. A world where no matter what, once you step through the door, everything becomes magical and beautiful. It’s a way to say that not everything negative is gonna hurt you, but sometimes is actually gonna take you to the next chapter of your life. We all have the ability to transform negative experiences into something meaningful for us.”

“Born With A Broken Heart” follows the previously released “Silverlines,” a stunningly wrought and theatrical composition produced by Labrinth. Listen here. Watch the music video here. The incredible debut offering is completely different stylistically to “Born With A Broken Heart”, already showing off the versatility and dizzying ambition of Damiano’s solo work.

Earlier this week, Damiano made his solo live TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Watch the stunning performance of “Silverlines” here. Fans can also tune in on Monday for a special digital exclusive debut live performance of “Born With A Broken Heart.”

Damiano David has already made his name as an acclaimed Italian singer-songwriter, where his journey from the streets of Rome to international stardom and establishing himself as a powerhouse in the global music scene, is nothing short of extraordinary. Damiano received global recognition and critical acclaim as the lead vocalist of Måneskin, praised for his charismatic stage presence and powerful vocals fronting the first Italian band to break on a truly global scale.

Damiano’s journey to embark on this solo project was born from an intrinsic need to express a more personal and vulnerable part of himself. Showing his true self to the world for the first time, with “Born With A Broken Heart” Damiano David shows he has the ambition, talent and songs to dominate the global airwaves on his own terms.
