Produced by Brett Truitt (Maggie Rose, Mat Kearney) and written by Louis alongside Tanner Olsen, Nicholas Varelas and Adrian Sowa, “Mine In My Mind” is a smooth-talking track that finds the country upstart singing with a shining self-assurance about seeing his former lover across the bar. In the face of a breakup, he is sure that she’ll come back to him and that it’s him who will be taking her home in the end.
Louis was named one of the new Black country artists to watch by BET and TODAY.com. His charismatic content, sultry baritone voice and irresistible combination of country and hip-hop — which is influenced by everyone from George Strait to J Cole — has earned him more than 3.5M likes on TikTok.
The song is the latest preview of Louis’ forthcoming album Liquor Talkin’ (out 8.23), and it follows the album’s title track, which Billboard calls a “natural candidate for the next global country-tinged smash.”
