Today, Toby Gad — the GRAMMY-winning songwriter/producer behind hits from John Legend, Beyoncé, Madonna and many others — and Mercury Records/Republic Records-signed artist Camylio have released a stunning, piano rendition of Gad’s RIAA Certified Platinum hit “Skyscraper,” originally recorded by Demi Lovato. The single is accompanied by four new dance mixes: the Coachella mix, the Hong Kong mix, the Munich mix, and the Roller Disco mix.
Known for his powerful voice and vulnerable lyrics, the 22-year-old singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Camylio has a combined following of more than 5 million followers across platforms and 150M+ career streams.
“I was honored when Toby asked me to be a part of his Piano Diaries project, especially with a song like “Skyscraper” that became such an empowering anthem for a generation in which mental health is such a prevalent issue,” says Camylio. “I make music to help people feel understood in whatever they’re going through, so with a song like “Skyscraper” that has meant so much to so many people, it’s really special to now be a part of that and help give the song new life.”
Lovato’s original "Skyscraper" was acclaimed by Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly. The song won the VMAs for "Best Video with a Message".

The song is the second preview from Gad’s PIANO DIARIES - Volume One – a collection of his biggest hits reimagined into emotive piano-vocal masterpieces and club mixes, each featuring today’s top artists and vocalists. Coming mid-2024, PIANO DIARIES - Volume One promises to be an exciting musical journey, offering a unique perspective on Gad's illustrious career as a songwriter and producer.
Last month, Gad and Victoria Justice shared the project’s first track, “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” Originally recorded by Fergie, Popdust hailed that "Justice's strong vocals and ability to belt make her the perfect touch to Gad's already iconic writing" – listen to it here.
