Introducing rising singer-songwriter Isabel Dumaa—the 19-year-old San Francisco native debuts her new song “Quarter Life Crisis” with an accompanying video today. Listen/share the track HERE and watch/share the video HERE.

“‘Quarter Life Crisis’ is a song about the undeniably universal feelings of confusion, loneliness and self-discovery that we all encounter in one way or another, as we learn who we are as adults,” Isabel describes. “I wrote it after moving to LA and feeling overwhelmed figuring out not only who I was as a person, but also an artist. I wanted to make it a fun song, while evoking almost a cathartic feeling in protest of a quarter life crisis.”

When she was 12, Isabel Dumaa’s moms booked her a studio session to record songs she had been filling up her journals with since she was 10.

Isabel began singing and songwriting at age eleven, going on to learn guitar, piano and ukulele. Upon graduating high school, she relocated to Los Angeles and in July 2022 released her debut single, “Call My Bluff,” a commentary on imposter syndrome, receiving flattering comparisons to Clairo, Remi Wolf, and Maggie Rogers. Her follow-up single “Freshman Year” garnered over 18 million views on TikTok, where she has amassed over 40,000 followers and 1.8 million likes.

Dumaa now works with talented professionals, including vocal coaches, producers, and acclaimed songwriters. “The more someone is willing to experiment, the more I love working with them,” Dumaa says. “In sessions, I’ll try anything, so having someone who is willing to play around with me is amazing.”

Last year, Isabel made her live performance debut opening for indie pop band Smallpools at The Roxy in Los Angeles to a sold-out crowd. Next month, Isabel will be playing a couple showcases including Writer’s Block at Los Angeles’ Hotel Café.

Look out for further music from Isabel coming soon.
