Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and three-time Grammy-winning producer Larry Campbell and singer-guitarist Teresa Williams - named “The First Couple of Americana” by Mojo - have announced their 4th studio album All This Time. Set for release on April 5 via Royal Potato Family, the ten track collection celebrates 40 years of music and marriage for the duo. Produced by Campbell with contributions from Grammy-winner Justin Guip (Levon Helm, David Bromberg) who recorded and mixed the album and contributed percussion, Little Feat legend Bill Payne on piano and organ, new band member Brandon Morrison on bass and vocals, and a special appearance by Levon Helm on drums, recorded shortly before his passing.
“The biscuit making in telling the collective story is in being honest about our own story, pain and all,” says Williams of the forthcoming project. “This is what we do, and why we do it. When we settled on the album title, suddenly I saw in this circle of songs, that Larry had unwittingly written the ‘for better or worse’ tale of a long relationship — All This Time, complete with the beauty and tragedy of how quickly it goes.”

Although they made their marks separately - Campbell as an indispensable multi-instrumentalist with Bob Dylan, kd lang, Sheryl Crow, Keith Richards, Emmylou Harris and others, and Williams as a stage actor in productions like Keep On the Sunny Sidewhere she portrayed Sara Carter and Always… Patsy Cline - their performing partnership was molded while recording and touring with Levon Helm, iconic drummer and voice of The Band. Since the pair’s 2015 debut, they’ve toured the world with the likes of Jackson Browne, Phil Lesh andamp; Friends, John Prine and Little Feat. In 2020 Campbell and Williams were profiled in the ten-part documentary series titled It Was the Music on Amazon Prime which gave viewers an intimate view of the realities of pursuing careers - and a lasting marriage - as professional musicians.
All This Time follows Larry Campbell andamp; Teresa Williams (2015), Contraband Love(2017), and Live at Levon’s (2023). Highlights among its ten tracks include songs like “Desert Island Dreams,” a dazzling ode to escapism, which showcases Teresa’s vocal power and Larry’s Jeff Beck-flavored guitar riffs, “Ride With Me,” a classic road song, which mythologizes the fabled promise of two lovers taking to the road, and “The Way You Make Me Feel,” a swaggering roots rocker that features Larry on lead vocals, most certainly expressing his affection for Teresa. An album centerpiece, its title track, recognizes love’s humbling power as it testifies, “All I want, all I need, is right in front of me.’’ This celebration of love and commitment continues on three songs by outside songwriters: “I Love You,” written by Julie Miller, bursts with joy, while the country standard, “That’s All It Took,” confesses “I still tremble at your name.” For the album’s closing number, the duo offer Jesse Colin Young’s “The Pretty And The Fair,” a gorgeous ballad that turns its attention from the connection between two people to an all encompassing embrace of compassion and empathy for nature and humanity: "As my hands reach to touch those who will not forget to care, I will live for the pretty and the fair.”
All This Time takes stock of Larry and Teresa’s journey through the years and turns it into a series of deep, rooted Americana songs that honor an enduring love meant to go the distance.
