Michael MK is MusicBizHub's senior writer, contributor and content creator. He is also a 30+ year veteran of the music industry. Michael MK has represented artists as an agent for more than 25 years at every level, from clubs to arenas. He has also been involved heavily in artist management, AandR, Publishing and Promotion. From 2006 to 2011, he owned 6 of the best known live music venues in the Greater Houston area while working as an agent for over 100 national touring artists at the same time. From 2012 to 2018 Michael stepped away from the agency business to produce a large number of conferences and festivals across the state of Texas and beyond, some of which had up to 50,000 people in attendance. In 2019 Michael stepped back into the agency world when he opened a new talent agency which, within six months, was merged with Dynamic Artists Management where he currently serves as agent for a roster of over 40 artists worldwide and personal manager for a select group of nationally recognized touring artists. He founded MusicBizHub as a media site and resource for do-it-yourself style touring artists and musicians.
Michael is an avid running enthusiast who runs more than ten miles daily, devoted husband and father, and follower of the Keto lifestyle. In his spare time, of which there is little, Michael enjoys reading fiction and non-fiction books and listening to podcasts of all kinds. His favorite music styles are shoegaze, 90s indie-rock and house music and his pronouns are whatever you want to call him.
