Kansas meets Colorado in Logan Mize and Clare Dunn’s new duet, “Get Em Together,” out tomorrow (10.16) via Big Yellow Dog Music. Cowboys andamp; Indians calls the track "flirtatious" and shares an early listen, HERE.
“It’s something fun and lighthearted,” says Mize. “We all need a little more of that right now. Clare gave the song the spark it needed.”
Produced by Daniel Agee (Jessie James Decker, HBO’s Big Little Lies), "Get 'Em Together” is written by Dallas Davidson (Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan), Mark Holman (Florida Georgia Line), Ben Hayslip (George Strait, Rodney Atkins, Thomas Rhett) and Justin Wilson (Craig Campbell, Michael Ray). This fun, upbeat track showcases Mize’s “serrated edge vocals” (Rolling Stone Country) blended harmoniously with Dunn’s signature deep-sung soul, while diving into how two lovers compliment each other as wild opposites, meeting each other halfway.
“I’ve always admired [Dallas Davidson’s] simplicity with words, yet it always feels fresh,” says Dunn. “I think that’s one of the charms and strengths of country music and that definitely shines with this song. I think when the music compliments the lyrics and vice versa, like it does in this song, it’s really something special.”
“Get ‘Em Together” follows Mize's recently released nostalgic “Who Didn’t” single, in which he reflects on his rural Kansas roots and Heartland upbringing. He's slated to release the new track in a 2021 album. Mize's previous Come Back Road album amassed 200 million streams across all platforms and entered Billboard's Top 20 Country Album Sales chart and No. 2 on iTunes Country Chart. For Dunn, the single follows her recently released song “We Are” (10.9) and her ‘HONESTLY (Stripped)’ EP, which she recorded back in her hometown in Southeast Colorado during quarantine.
Fans can expect new music from both Mize and Dunn early next year. For more information on Big Yellow Dog Music recording artists Clare Dunn and Logan Mize visit claredunn.com and loganmize.com.
