ABOUT THE TEAM
PPL’s Member Services team manages the enquiries of our membership across both performers and recording rightsholders (traditionally record companies). The work is split across three teams: Managed Accounts, Member Operations and Client Services. Our Member Services team is passionate about music and works to help ensure all our members receive the royalties they are owed when their music is played on radio, tv, online and in public.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You will provide a high level, proactive account management service across a roster of accounts with a focus on classical musicians and their key representatives
The primary function of the Account Manager role will be to provide a tailored account management service to some of PPL’s highest profile performers and representatives . Your role will be the single point of contact for your accounts and require a professional, adaptable and customer focused approach.
The role may also involve contact with vital industry bodies such as the BPI .
In this role you may be required to attend or host events and some travel may be required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide efficient, proactive account management to PPL members; understanding their current needs and future requirements in a professional and helpful manner, ensuring that all data is accurate, and that all repertoire is up to date in order to maximise their revenue.
- Proactive account management with day-to-day contact with members (including meetings, retention activity, distribution work, queries, International and repertoire work, reporting, monthly account updates to the Senior Leadership Team)
- To document key correspondence with managed accounts in order to ensure that that we have a record of important information and that any actions are delivered. To keep the membership system, Salesforce, updated with all member interactions.
- To proactively engage with performers and other contacts, to provide data analysis on repertoire, distribution and airplay. You will also be required to communicate policy changes, update on international mandates and work to agreed SLAs and defined quality standards.
- To identify further business opportunities with performers, representatives and other contacts, and to pursue these under the guidance of your manager.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Self-motivation/ initiative
- Enthusiasm with a positive and proactive approach to work
- Passion for music and an interest in classical music in particular
- The ability to network (desirable)
- Experience in account management
- Customer service experience
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Passionate with a drive for results
- The ability to maximise revenue opportunities (where applicable)
