Preston Pablo Wraps Up Incredible Year With New Pop Smash “Dance Alone”

"Dance Alone” has been loved by fans since Preston first posted a snippet of the unfinished song on TikTok. After seeing all the love for the song, the demand was high for him to finish the song and release it with over 34.6K total creations using the original unreleased sound on TikTok, and growing.
Preston says; “As soon as I wrote the hook to this song and played it back I knew I had something special. The melody and lyrics came to me quickly and kept flowing, it just felt right. I was invested in the song before I even really started it. I write lots of songs that feel good in the moment but I don’t always get that initial connection to a song. I felt so strongly about the hook that without even thinking about it I posted it to TikTok. I wanted to share that initial special feeling with people as soon as possible.”
The spontaneous TikTok sound unlocked new inspiration for Preston, inspiration he hasn’t written about before. “The only thing that I can remember having in mind while writing this song was a feeling of freedom,” he says. “It instantly brought me back to a time where I was younger and felt so carefree about life. It allowed me to be completely present and forget about everything even just for those few minutes of the song.”
With his honest lyrics and an RandB melody, the emerging artist released, “Love You Bad”, closing 2022 by showcasing his ability to cross genres. Last year was a banner year for Preston, with the rising chart success of his major label debut “Flowers Need Rain” with multi-platinum producer-songwriters Banx andamp; Ranx. The quadruple platinum-selling single currently has over 43M global streams and has reached a Top 5 spot at Top 40 and Top 10 at Hot AC and Mainstream AC. “Flowers Need Rain” was recently the #1 most Shazamed track in Canada, and achieved multiple global Viral Top 50 Spotify playlist adds (such as Germany, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and more). Preston leaves 2022 with 2 songs in the Top 5 at Mainstream AC - “Winter Winterland” at #2 and "Flowers Need Rain” at #5 with over 200 million audience impressions at Canadian Radio.
