Ringo Starr’s first country album in more than 50 years, Look Up, and his first full-length album since 2019, has garnered critical acclaim and earned Starr his first top 10 on Billboard’s all-genre Top Album Sales chart at No. 7 (Billboard, 1/25/25). The album, released on Lost Highway on January 10, was produced and co-written by T Bone Burnett, recorded last year in Nashville and Los Angeles, and features 11 songs. Starr will celebrate the album with a special appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, January 28 (ABC).

Look Up also reached the top of multiple other charts including No.1 Current Country Album sales, No. 1 Current Rock Album sales and No. 1 Americana/Folk Album sales. The album also hit top 10 on Current Digital Album sales (No. 4), Overall Digital Album sales (No. 6), Internet Album sales (No. 2) and Indie Store Album Sales (No. 2). Billboard charting includes Billboard Rock Albums (No. 23), Billboard Americana/Folk Albums (No. 12), Billboard Country Albums (a career-best No. 27) and Billboard Rock andamp; Alternative Albums (No. 30). On the overall Billboard 200, the album debuted at No. 147, marking Starr’s 20th entry. Internationally Ringo earned No. 1 on the Official UK Country Artists Chart, No. 79 on the UK/OCC all genre Official Albums Chart Top 100, and No.1 in Denmark (vinyl and overall physical charts).

“From before Ringo’s time with the Beatles throughout his years as a solo artist, this all-time great musician had made some beautiful country records,” said T Bone Burnett. “In making a new album with Ringo, I wanted to return with him to his love of country and western music (I can’t think of a more western sounding name than Ringo Starr) and help him create a record that would stand alongside his very best as a recording artist.  It’s exciting that fans have responded so strongly to Look Up and that this album from Ringo has entered the Country charts at No. 1.”

In addition to making history on the charts, Starr’s album has received wide critical acclaim.

"Mark my words, this album is going to be nominated for a Country Music Association award…This is easily the best album that Ringo has put out in a long time.” - Goldmine Magazine

"Ringo Starr maintains his perpetual optimism in “Look Up,” the title track of his new, Nashville-
centered album. Written by T Bone Burnett and Daniel Tashian, the song posits, “There’s a light that
shines in the darkest days,” bolstered by richly twangy guitars and an unmistakable Ringo backbeat.”
NY Times

"I venture that many around the world will be thankful for this charming, late-in-life return to a genre
for which (Ringo) he’s always had a knack and affection.” - WSJ

"Look Up is the sound of Ringo being himself, the least jaded rock star in the universe, which is
exactly what we want from this wise old age.” - Rolling Stone

“...easily his finest record in decades.” - Salon

"What better way to ring in the New Year than with Ringo Starr and his new album, Look Up? Ringo
returns to Country music with help from friends like T Bone Burnette, Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle.”
13th Floor

“His wheelhouse has always been in conveying emotion, profound sincerity and of course his stellar
storytelling, and ‘Look Up’ is the perfect showcase for him to do that.” - Clash Magazine

"Yet here is Ringo at 84, returning with his best album in 54 years.” - The Times
