Nashville based rocker Royale Lynn has been busy breaking boundaries with an ambitious crossover sound, blending her love of hard rock and metalcore while proudly displaying her country roots. Currently on a nationwide tour with legends Seether and Skillet, which also brings her to festivals Aftershock and Louder Than Life, today she shares her latest single “SACRIFICE” via Epitaph Records.

Featuring ominous figures draped in hooded capes, macabre imagery and shadowy nods to the occult, the powerful music video for “SACRIFICE” paints a visual picture of the darkness that can accompany mental illness. Check it out below:

Through thundering drums and a cascade of heavy riffage, Royale’s bright vocals are razor sharp as she carries a message close to her heart. “SACRIFICE” shows a vulnerable side of me, it portrays my journey of dealing with my mental health while navigating the music industry,” she explains. “I want to show people that it’s okay to have struggles and talk about them openly because you should never let it stop you from doing what you love.”

Across a catalog of eight explosive singles, Royale Lynn’s brand of genre-bending has resulted in over 44 Million streams to date, with her small-town charm resonating with over 1 Million followers across socials so far. Royale’s boundary-smashing amalgamation is best exemplified in her viral self-released anthem “Six Feet Deep” which shot to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Digital Sales chart and has reached over 21 Million streams to date. Her first single in partnership with Epitaph Records, “Death Wish” featured the gruff vocals of Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop and was dedicated to first responders around the world. The striking music video has racked up over 1 Million views in just 3 months.

Despite her skyrocketing popularity, it’s her roots that have kept her grounded and remain a constant source of inspiration. “I know there are a lot of people like me who grew up in the country that love rock, and vice versa,” Royale reasons. “I want to bring together a community of people who embrace being different and who are open to talking about mental health in small towns.”
