On Celebrity Family Feud, guests get to form their own “family,” to appear on the show and when the Award-winning duo The War and Treaty were invited to appear as contestants, they assembled an all-star cast of standout artists across the Americana and Country music industry. Playing alongside their “family” are Valerie June, Rissi Palmer, Breland and Dom Flemons. Tune in on Tuesday, July 30 at 8pm EST as The War And Treaty compete against the legendary Earth, Wind andamp; Fire on the most recent episode of Celebrity Family Feud.
Speaking on how their on screen family was chosen, Michael Trotter Jr. commented:“We wanted to use this time to speak to our Country music genre and let them see a united front with Americana artists. We also wanted Earth, Wind andamp; Fire to look across at us and be proud that they’ve influenced artists of all genres, especially ones that look like them.”
The War And Treaty have had a banner 2024, starting with their first ever GRAMMY nominations for Best American Roots Song and for the all-genre Best New Artist. They followed nominations from the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, and CMT Music Awards with a string of standout festival appearances at Stagecoach and CMA Fest, among others, and recent national television performances including LIVE with Kelly and Mark, Austin City Limits 50th Anniversary Special, the National Memorial Day Parade, and NBC Macy’s Fourth of July Special. They were also recently featured in the Los Angeles Times which notes that the band “keeps blowing the roof off every awards show in country music”.
With recent songs “Stealing A Kiss”, “Leads Me Home”, and “Called You By Your Name” – The War And Treaty continue to solidify themselves as the King and Queen of Gospel Country, setting the tone for the rest of 2024 and beyond.
