Third Eye Blind recently took the stage for an exclusive NPR Tiny Desk performance, offering fans a stripped-down set that included some of their most beloved tracks alongside the debut of their latest single, Like a Lullaby. The new song is now available on all streaming platforms. Watch the performance HERE
Frontman Stephan Jenkins shared his admiration for the Tiny Desk series, reflecting on how it has deepened his connection to artists over the years. "I never really understood Billie Eilish’s music until I saw her perform on Tiny Desk," he said. "That setting brought everything into focus for me—the intimacy of it is a gift."
Despite battling the flu on the day of the performance, Jenkins powered through with the support of his bandmates and NPR’s team. "I think adrenaline and enthusiasm carried me through," he noted. "Institutions like NPR play such an important role in music discovery, and we were honored to be part of it."
Like a Lullaby first took shape during soundchecks on the band’s Summer Gods tour. Jenkins described the song as a reflection of impermanence and legacy, explaining, "My songs are emotional reactions to the times I’m living in. In these days, I think a lot about what lives on after us and where we go when empathy itself feels at risk. But in the end, it’s not about what I think—it’s about what you feel when you listen."
As one of alternative rock’s enduring acts, Third Eye Blind continues to connect with audiences both on stage and through streaming, where they draw over 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
