YOUR ROLE
As the Global Director of Playlist Marketing, you will lead the strategic vision for impactful streaming campaigns centred around artists and releases. This role involves cultivating a skilled team, driving innovative marketing campaigns, and developing cross-platform playlist initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Innovation:
- Create and iterate on global strategies for significant streaming impact, focusing on artist and release-led campaigns.
- Lead cross-platform playlist development to diversify revenue and enhance playlist value.
- Engage with C-level stakeholders to support our Artist Value Proposition.
- Design territory-specific approaches to optimize playlist properties and achieve revenue/streaming targets.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with WMGs strategic goals.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Cultivate a diverse team skilled in marketing, programming, and brand management with an artist-first approach focussed on discovery.
- Collaborate with label marketing teams and WMG properties to develop synergistic programs.
- Guide playlist programming and craft unique experiences for a broad range of listeners.
- Oversee the financial performance of the playlist marketing division, managing the PandL and optimizing resource allocation.
- Managing a small team based across London and New York
Marketing Excellence and Audience Engagement:
- Produce creative advertising campaigns that surpass competitors.
- Partner with tastemakers and curators to expand our playlist reach and credibility.
- Develop consistent playlist marketing and programming strategies across WMG for maximum global impact.
- Optimize marketing investments, balancing global and local objectives.
- Identify and leverage new consumer demographics and trends for playlist/streaming user reach, working across frontline rep and catalogue.
- Collaborate with creative, Strategy, Audience and Media teams for integrated campaigns maximizing audience data and consumer exposure.
Internal andamp; External Partnerships:
- Establish strong relationships with Internal teams and stakeholders
- Forge marketing partnerships with brands andamp; influencers to create new playlist streaming opportunities.
ABOUT YOU
- Established leader with 6+ years in digital media, music, and consumer marketing.
- Proven track record in marketing across music, consumer, and lifestyle brands.
- Strong background in audience development, digital advertising, and music trends.
- Ability to combine data and experience to evolve marketing strategies.
