Singer/songwriter LECADE today releases a brand-new track “Next Town Over” as he officially announces his signing to Big Machine Records. The 20-year-old who claims Mississippi and Louisiana as his home state and has never been north of Tennessee is heavily influenced by his small-town southern surroundings and back roads. Originally catching attention on TikTok, it is LECADE’s creativity and ingenious approach to finding beats via YouTube that lead to his latest creative venture.

“I am very proud to announce the addition of LECADE to the Big Machine!,” shared Big Machine Label Group Founder and CEO Scott Borchetta. “His unique approach to songwriting and recording is on the sharp edge of what’s happening in real time.”
“I’m super excited to be a part of Big Machine team they have such an outstanding track record with breaking new artists, I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together,” said LECADE. “I’m excited for people to hear ‘Next Town Over,’ I hope y’all guys enjoy it.”
Written by Jacob Durrett, Gavin Lucas, Andrew Stoelzing and Geoff Warburton and produced by Austin Shawn, “Next Town Over” is a made-for-radio small town breakup song that finds the protagonist wondering about their ex and what their new (and likely improved) life is like now. With a mix of curiosity, regret and a hint of self-deprecation, LECADE sings the clever turn of phrase “she’s somewhere in the next town over me” with just the right amount of sad boy swagger.
His contemporary Country sound, was influenced by Machine Gun Kelly, Kid LaRoy, Drake, Tim McGraw, Johnny Cash and his own father, who performs at dive bars and legendary honky tonks like Tootsies.
