Brian Newman, the Grammy-winning producer, creative director, and acclaimed trumpetist and vocalist, is bringing back the spirit of classic NYC with the return of his residency, "Brian Newman’s After Dark," alongside his burlesque icon wife and co-producer Angie Pontani, now at Mastercard Midnight Theatre starting June 7. Brian Newman has spent over 25 years shaping live music experiences in venues such as hotels, nightclubs, and restaurants. Influenced by legends like Miles Davis and Chet Baker, Newman also draws inspiration from modern artists such as Nirvana and Bruce Springsteen. Angie Pontani is not just a world-famous burlesque star. Angie co-produces the show as well as costumes and directs the After Dark Dancers, contributing to a decade-long partnership that enriches the entertainment landscape. Known as The Italian Stallionette, she is a dynamic force in the world of burlesque and beyond. With her award-winning performances, she mesmerizes audiences globally, setting the gold standard for style and sophistication. Lauded by The New Yorker as "first rate, the perfect centerpiece," and hailed as a "Showstopper! A Leader in the art of burlesque" by the Daily Telegraph, Angie’s influence extends far and wide.
