Hurray for the Riff Raff will join Bright Eyes for the second half of their 2025 North American tour, performing in 25 cities across the southern US starting in February. The artists previously toured together in 2022. Many of the songs on Hurray for the Riff Raff/Alynda Segarra’s latest record, The Past Is Still Alive, began to take shape during that tour; Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst later sang on the album track “The World Is Dangerous,” and Mike Mogis also contributed across the album.
In addition, Hurray for the Riff Raff has recently announced that they will be joining MJ Lenderman andamp; the Wind as special guests for Waxahatchee’s performance at Beak andamp; Skiff this summer on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Find more information and tickets here.
Since its release in February 2024, The Past Is Still Alive has been nominated for Album of the Year at the 2024 Americana Honors andamp; Awards and earned raves from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, the Atlantic, Vogue, Vulture, NPR, the New Yorker, Elton John and more. The New York Times praised Segarra for “etching their own story into the American songbook,” while Paste said the record is "the most important album of the 2020s so far...” The Past Is Still Alive has already been included on Best of 2024 lists from Uncut and Mojo, with Uncut stating, “Segarra remained committed to making astonishing music while the ship goes down.”
