Simple Minds are set to embark on their most extensive North American tour in 40 years, coinciding with the release of their brand-new double live album, Live in the City of Diamonds, available on April 25 through BMG.
Recorded during their Global Tour 2024 at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome, the album captures the energy and spirit of Simple Minds' live performances. It will be released in multiple formats, including digital, 2x clear/glitter and standard black vinyl LPs (featuring 18 tracks with a premium gatefold sleeve), and a 2xCD version with 24 tracks and a 24-page booklet containing exclusive photos and tour insights.
"We’ve always wanted to be part of a great live band and share our music worldwide," says frontman Jim Kerr. "Live in the City of Diamonds captures that passion and excitement we feel every night on stage."
The album showcases powerful live versions of Simple Minds' most iconic songs, including their timeless hit "Don't You (Forget About Me)," which is now available on all streaming platforms.
Simple Minds recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of their global hit "Don't You (Forget About Me)" and their acclaimed album Once Upon A Time. They marked the occasion with a special edition of the album, now featuring updated artwork and the addition of the beloved single.
