OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the role of the Director is split across two core areas; leading our international relationships with performing rights societies around the world as well as managing all client relationships with publishers, songwriters and rights holders.

Day to day, you will interact with both internal and external stakeholders, working on a blend of industry insights, shaping policy and opinion, resolving challenges and presenting opportunities. In particular, this role will offer an opportunity to be instrumental in improving the existing royalty tracking and analysis process to drive maximum value and provide our clients with the most transparent and accurate reporting in the music industry.

This position is ideal for someone who loves people and has deep familiarity with the art of relationship management and can work autonomously balancing operational and project based work. You are curious, with an ability to apply critical thinking and being highly focused on outcomes plus a deep passion for music and for its creators.

WHAT DOES THE DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL andamp; CLIENT RELATIONS DO AT AMRA?

International:

Understanding the marketplace:

- You will develop relationships with analysts and other Heads of International across our core society partners as well as continue to expand our global reach of society networks.

- You will represent AMRA in relevant industry forums such as CISAC events etc.

- You will use your experience and contacts to support the royalties team to address collection and reporting issues.

Leveraging knowledge:

- You will build knowledge across the society network, presenting feedback using up to date trend analysis to the AMRA management team.

- You will produce and maintain detailed business, market intelligence and revenue analysis to track international developments.

- You will investigate operations at other societies, identify and challenge any practices detrimental to members, and document proposed solutions to deliver increased revenues and improved services to members.

- Working closely with the Royalties andamp; International Technical Analyst at AMRA, you will use tools to track the collection of royalties from overseas collection societies.

Supporting AMRA’s growth:

- You will resolve complex, escalated international queries and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders.

- You will identify and pursue new business opportunities and missing revenue whilst devising and implementing new initiatives to achieve this.

- You will help shape the building of a suite of tooling to give AMRA global leading income tracking resources.

Clients:

Maintaining excellence:

- You will manage communication channels to all clients and be the point person for any opportunities, as well as identifying issues and working across teams to collaboratively resolve those.

Development:

- You will build frameworks and structures to objectively manage our client function and priorities.

- You will train people internally using experience and knowledge discussed with clients acting as the true bridge between the external clients and our internal functions.

- You will resolve issues autonomously and involving Executive Management and the Board where appropriate.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- Ideally, we’d like you to have a strong understanding and experience of the PRO and/or music publishing landscape having practical experience of making enquiries to overseas societies and deep knowledge of international collective management society practices.

- You have experience of client relationship management practices at an international scale having delivered business change initiatives and solving complex problems in fast paced, rigorous, analytical environments.

- You can demonstrate ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders whilst showing empathy and transparency developing and fostering positive relationships.

- As part of a team, you have established leadership skills and an ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
