The cultural impact of the band WAR cannot be overstated. For over a half-century, WAR has been making legendary albums that connect deeply to the souls of music fans. Their records Spill The Wine, Low Rider, and Why Can’t We Be Friends are ubiquitous.  In 1973, the critically acclaimed album The World is a Ghetto was named Album of the Year by Billboard,  and its second single, “The Cisco Kid,” reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts.

They have seamlessly fused the genres of Funk, Soul, Jazz, Latin music and Rock - while simultaneously building one of the most diverse fan bases throughout the globe. Their live shows consist of fans from all different backgrounds, races and religions united under the positive energy of the music.

Myles O’Neal is leading the next wave of DJs andamp; Producers that have blasted onto the music scene. He bridges the gap between eras with his unique ability to blend the genres of Tech-House, RandB, Rap, Funk, Soul and Electronic Dance Music.

The Cisco Kid - Myles O’Neal Remix” is an infectious groove with WAR’s iconic percussion and brass instruments that O’Neal masterfully recreates into a thumping baseline that crescendos and drops in a way that will undoubtedly rock iconic venues from Los Angeles to EDC in Las Vegas to the festival circuits from Europe to Lollapalooza to Tomorrowland.

“Myles is adept at respectfully paying homage to the familiarity of original records. He produced an EDM  record that is pleasing to the superfans while simultaneously creating a version pleasing to the ears of the new fans discovering WAR’s catalog in 2025. That’s not easy to do.  It's why we felt Myles is the right producer to flip a classic like “The Cisco Kid” ” - Geoff Walker (AandR Consultant Warner Music Group)

“It's really such an honor to work with a legendary group like WAR. They have so many classics, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to put a twist on one of their timeless tracks [The Cisco Kid]” -Myles O’Neal
