Today, 21-year-old singer-songwriter, Braden Bales, releases his brand-new single entitled “ME MYSELF AND YOU”. The track follows his previous single “HOSTAGE”, debut EP, NOMAD, and the incredible success of the Ontario native’s viral hit, “CHRONICALLY CAUTIOUS”, which has amassed over 37 million global streams, over 34 million total views and 3.1 million likes on TikTok. In addition to the single, Braden also announces the release date for his sophomore EP, CATALYST, which is due out on December 8th. This marks a new chapter for the rising musician, as he continues to elevate his sound and artistry. Braden proceeds to draw inspiration from first-hand experiences and emotions like stress and anxiety and the push to overcome it, with the goal of connecting with his audience on a deeply personal level. “ME MYSELF AND YOU” will be included on Braden’s upcoming EP and is available now via Geffen Records/Universal Music Canada.
Braden says about the track, “I find my value in the eyes of those around me and it has consistently affected my self-esteem in a negative way. When I found out one of my friends had been sleeping with my ex it felt like an attack on my identity. I internalized the pain and anger I felt as if it was my fault, instead of seeing the situation for what it was. It took me 3 years to write this. I needed to heal before being able to properly articulate my feelings. I finally feel like I’ve come out on the other side of the heartache. I hope that this song articulates your messiest emotions and helps you work through your struggles quicker than I did.”
