Enlisting producers including Banx andamp; Ranx (Dua Lipa, Jung Kook, Shenseea), Euro (Karan Aujla, Ikky, Fridayy), Sammy Soso (Tyla, WizKid, Kali Uchis), and more, Preston Pablo evolves his signature sound into a feel-good fusion of global pop inspired by his recent personal experiences with love, life, and everything in between.
The hitmaker journeys into the complex dynamics of his emotions throughout the six-track project, all the while providing the soundtrack to your next night out. The new single “Move Like That” takes off where the Gold-certified hit “Dance Alone” left us, hypnotizing audiences with melody-driven flows over Banx andamp; Ranx’s classic bounce. The lead single “One Last Song,” released in September, captures a bittersweet realization that something isn’t working in a relationship, focusing on one last moment of happiness before letting go. Preston further unpacks his vulnerabilities on the RandB and pop-infused “Convince Me,” and on the standout “Red Eyes,” he returns to the dancefloor for a mid-tempo club-ready banger.
About the new project, Preston says, “It took me a while to get back to a place where I’m excited about the music I’m making – this is the reintroduction of that. This project feels new and refreshed, and these are all songs that I’m proud of and love.”
This is the first EP released by Preston Pablo, who previously won over Canada’s hearts with the chart-topping #1 hit “Flowers Need Rain,” and excited global audiences with the viral smash “Dance Alone.” With over 950 million views across his music catalog on TikTok alone, the rising global pop star has elevated to new levels and through his worldwide travels, Preston developed a unique sound inspired by the many cultures he has fallen in love with.
“Dance Alone,” which crossed international borders and included remixes from Colombian singer-songwriter Juliana, and Nigerian singer-songwriter Qing Madi and Nonso Amadi, enjoyed extended success at Canadian radio, peaking at #5 at AC, #6 at Hot AC, at #9 at Top 40. Upon its release, it was the #1 most added overall and #1 most added to Top 40 radio in Canada. The track has a total of 718K creates and 480M views on TikTok.
Preston Pablo received the JUNO Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2023. That same year, he featured on “Admirin’ You,” a single with JUNO Fan Choice Award winner Karan Aujla, which was part of the highest charting Punjabi album in Canadian history. Preston has supported artists including Lewis Capaldi, NF, and Jon Vinyl on tour, and has collaborated with brands like Rockstar Energy, Taco Bell, OLG, and more. He was honoured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in Canada and has been named “Canada’s next big pop star” by CBC.
