Today, Chase Bryant shares his third project of 2024, his EP titled Cayo del Grullo. Produced by fellow Texan and long-time friend and collaborator Jon Randall (Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram) and engineer Casey Wood (Charlie Daniels, Randy Houser), Bryant tapped a stellar group of collaborators (and some Texans) to bring his vision to life, including features with Jake Owen, Jack Ingram, Randy Houser and Joey Landreth and songwriting credits from Ruston Kelly, Bob DiPiero (George Strait, Garth Brooks), Chris Loocke (Tim McGraw, Tyler Hubbard) and more.
Named after his favorite place in the world – a part of Baffin Bay near his grandparents’ family farm he grew up visiting – the EP is a tribute to his Texas roots. Bryant had the opportunity to move to his grandparents’ farm during the pandemic, where he created his first professional studio in their old pool house. Cayo del Grullo was born in that studio, capturing all the lifelong memories that the home brings.
“Texas will always be a part of me,” says Bryant. “You can’t take it away. Sadly I had to sell that house, where a lifetime of memories were made, and a piece of my family always was. Pictures may fade one day, but hopefully, this project never will”
From the tongue-in-cheek breakup anthem (“Shell and Back feat. Randy Houser andamp; Joey Landreth”) to his love letter to the simplicity of rural town living (“Small Town feat. Jack Ingram”) to the love song that became his wife’s favorite upon first listen (“Love You My Whole Life”), the EP’s 5-tracks showcase Bryant’s versatility as a prolific creator.

Cayo del Grullo marks the third EP from Bryant this year. Each project is named after pivotal cities and moments in his life, and earlier this year he shared Summerville (released 1.19) and Ashland City (released 4.12).
Praised for his resilience, commanding songwriting and just being “damn good” (Whiskey Riff), Bryant continues to bring forth music that’s an honest portrait of his life. In 2021, he shared his “triumphant debut” (GRAMMY Museum) album Upbringing, recorded in the aftermath of a season of darkness and despair. The album landed Bryant features with NPR Weekend Edition, Tamron Hall Show, Good Morning America Digital, the GRAMMY Museum and more.
