Already earning applause from Shawn Mendes, Boyz II Men, Meghan Trainor, Teddy Swims and many others after gaining more than 2.3M collective likes on TikTok, the Lane Brothers’ dynamic, retro-pop sonics and quick-witted lyrics establish the duo as one to watch in mainstream music. These sounds are on full display on the duo’s new self-titled EP, out today via Big Yellow Dog Music.

Brothers Grayson and Garrett Lane co-wrote each song on the project alongside Darius Rucker and Taylor Swift collaborator Nathan Chapman, Thomas “Tawgs” Salter — who has worked with Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban — and more.

The Lane Brothers sprinkle buoyant cleverness throughout the six songs through cultural references such as Buc-ee’s-bought outfits on “Drip,” Bentley drives on “Let It Ride” and Miami tans on “Baddie.” The duo’s youthful energy beautifully compliments the maturity of its sonics, which fuse Southern RandB with west coast bedroom pop and more creative blends.

The duo shows off a more intimate side of their songwriting on the EP’s ballads “NOLA” and “To Be Yours,” drawing stylistic elements from artists ranging Russ to Harry Styles.

Grayson and Garrett began playing music after growing up watching their father perform in bluegrass bands. They discovered the music of Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men and other RandB staples, and created a style that is uniquely theirs by incorporating those influences into their bluegrass background.
