After much anticipation, Jessie Murph shares her brand new single and music video entitled “Dirty” featuring multiplatinum chart-topping vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims out now via Columbia Records. Jessie first teased the track to fans a year ago and has been highly demanded since; after playing it across the world on tour, she has finally gifted them the song and music video today. Listen HERE and watch HERE. It notably marks their first collaboration together and will be featured on Jessie’s upcoming album.
Once again, she pushes the envelope. The track’s momentum revolves around the 19-year-old dynamo’s slow-burning emotionally charged cadence, drawing emphasis to her jaw-dropping range. In between handclaps, gritty guitar, and swelling organ, she confronts a cheating lover face-to-face, “And you might be hurting, but damn it you hurt me,” going on to warn, “I’ve got no mercy. That shit was dirty!” Teddy keeps up with her by dropping his own soulful and stunning performance. Their chemistry simply lights up the song!
Directed by Erik Rojas and conceptualized by Jessie, the accompanying visual finds her on a fictional early 00s-style game show called DIRTY where she gets to exact revenge by exposing this ex in front of the world. Plus, Teddy appears for a memorable cameo. WATCH HERE.
Jessie recently joined forces with multiplatinum country outlaw Koe Wetzel on the buzzing smash “High Road,” piling up 45 million Spotify streams and counting, marking their highest debut yet on the Billboard Hot 100 at #29.
Off the heels of her global headline run that wrapped in February selling over 85,000 tickets, the genre-bending maverick continues to canvas the US on her ‘In the Sticks’ tour. Jessie recently performed her biggest gig yet, packing the Brady Music Center in Cincinnati to the rafters. This video showcases her ascent from a 300-cap room in town just a year ago to a massive stage in front of 4,300 fans a few weeks back. As she rounds out this slew of headline shows, Jessie will grace the bills of major festivals over the summer, including Governor’s Ball, Boston Calling, BottleRock, and more. Jessie’s home state festival, Hangout, has also invited her back to perform for the second year in a row.
Earlier this year, Jessie, who was featured as MTV’s PUSH artist in January, showcased her soulful side with “Cold” and “Son of a Bitch.” Additionally, Jessie’s blockbuster anthem “Wild Ones” with Jelly Roll is about to crack the Top 20 at Pop Radio and has reached RIAA-Platinum status, Jessie’s second with “Always Been You” also achieving Platinum certification while “How Could You” and “Heartbroken” [with Diplo andamp; Polo G] have gone Gold.
With more music on the horizon, it’s just the beginning of Jessie Murph’s biggest, brightest, and boldest chapter yet.
