Britti — the new Easy Eye Sound voice carrying on the rich musical traditions of her New Orleans community — has shared “Lullaby” today, the latest single off of her aptly titled 11-song debut album, Hello, I’m Britti., out February 2. Softly swaying between subtle percussion and yearning pedal steel, Britti’s open-hearted vocals float through a perfectly curated atmosphere — “Lullaby” is an arrestingly beautiful ode to intimacy.

Directed by Vanessa Pla (French Cassettes, The Black Angels), the video for “Lullaby” is retro-chic, a glamorous look at Britti’s private life: https://youtu.be/JYvQlxC6jnM

Produced and co-written by Dan Auerbach and featuring gorgeous playing from Nick Movshon (Amy Winehouse, Wu Tang Clan), Jay Bellerose (Robert Plant andamp; Alison Krauss, Sharon Van Etten), and more, “Lullaby” masterfully captures the softer side of Hello, I’m Britti. — available for preorder here: https://click.ees.link/helloimbritti

With deep roots in her chosen home of New Orleans, Britti soaked in musical knowledge during her Louisiana upbringing from relatives who would gig with heroes like Dr. John and Allen Toussaint. After years of deferring her own musical dreams, a life-altering breakup, and a pandemic furlough, Britti now carries on the traditions of her community with a mission to help heal its generational traumas. As Britti explains it: “If I am the matriarch of healing for my ancestors, I want to know what my lineage went through so I can do that healing.”

With plenty of horns, New Orleans flair, Shania Twain inspired twang, clear 90’s RandB influences, heartbreak, self-empowerment, and more, Hello, I’m Britti. is the perfect introduction to this artist’s effervescent spirit.

Check out her lead single, “Nothing Compares To You”, the stunning Sade-meets-second-line groover that KCRW deemed “hypnotic, sultry, spare, and perfectly punctuated by the horn section” in their best songs of the week column or the Dolly Parton inspired “Keep Running”, which WNYC praises for its “catchy chord sequence and Britti’s own husky vocals… serves as fine introduction.”
