Kansas-raised artist Logan Mize adds his Heartland-brand of country-rock to seven holiday classics and three new original songs on his first-ever holiday album titled 'A Very Merry Christmas,' out today via Big Yellow Dog Music.

The album opens with Mizes twangy original "I Saw Santa In A Bar," chronicling all of Kris Kringle's wild adventures as he trades in his snow shoes for cowboy boots and takes on Alan Jackson's "Chattahoochee" at a local karaoke. On "Wrapped," Mize and his wife Jill Martin capture the romance of the holidays, while the album's third original track, "First Christmas," empathizes with the feelings of loneliness that can come around the holidays. All three original songs were written by Mize and Martin.
Mize also delivers country-fried versions of holiday favorites like "Frosty The Snowman," "Jingle Bell Rock" and more on the album produced by Mize's frequent collaborator Daniel Agee (Jessie James Decker, HBO’s Big Little Lies).
“I never saw myself putting out a Christmas album, and it took a lot of encouragement to get me to try it,” says Mize. “I'm so glad I did, though. I think it's important to stretch yourself out of your comfort zone. Now, we have some music that will hopefully live on in our family's Christmas traditions for years to come. There's a wide range of emotions captured here, and there’s something for anyone looking to spice up their Christmas playlist.”
The ladies, who are nominated for ACM Duo of the Year, will take their Here’s To Friends Tour to Conroe, Texas on Friday (May 10th).
