Today (May 3rd) Brazilian pop artist Nonô shares the music video for her single "ATM" featuring Baby Tate. Directed by Christian D.K Long, the clip is a stylish performance from Nonô and Baby Tate set in a backyard family party. The cast is populated by mothers, grandmothers, and sisters engaged in timeless practices that define and redefine what it means to be women caretakers.
“ATM” opens with a thudding bass, quickly being joined by Nonô’s smooth vocals. Flowing from rapping to singing as easily as she switches from Portuguese to Spanish to English, Nonô brings the heat on her opening verse, turning cheeky rhymes like “I like the Louis V, I like the Prada / I like to treat my friends like I’m the Mama”. Baby Tate joins the fun after the seductive chorus, effortlessly stepping into the track’s flow with her powerful presence and delivering the audacious line “I got so much cash need a bank to carry it / He tried to buy my love I said ‘No thanks, I’m very rich’”.
“ATM” is an effortless and undeniable bop. Simmering with sex appeal and powerful femininity, Nonô and Baby Tate’s confidence is infectious as they close out the track with the chorus: “You see the money all over my body / cuz I’m the ATM yeah I’m the party”.
Nonô says this of the new track:
"ATM is about being a provider and sharing your material and non-material wealth with your loved ones. It represents what I’ve learned from my family, especially from the women, taking care of each other in every way we can."
Baby Tate adds:
“When I heard 'ATM,' I was so excited because it’s such a dope song. I know I have a lot of fans in Brazil and to collaborate with a Brazilian artist is exciting. I’m grateful Nonô thought of me and I was able to add my energy to it!”
